Something about food:

When you have been in a stressful situation for a long period of time, your sensitivity in the certain foodstuffs increases. You can develop allergies or intolerances. The best way to recover from stressful situations or PTSD is to avoid the foodstuffs that create the most problems. During the diet your sensitivity will decrease. However is slightly higher sensitivity will probably last for the rest of your life.

Why some of the foodstuffs are not allowed:

potatoes:

Potatoes are not allowed during the diet. This is because potatoes contain chemical and biological elements which take a lot of energy from your body to remove. Because potatoes are a natural product, they do not have a fixed recipe. New potatoes cause more problems than older ones. Potatoes contain a high amount of carbohydrates, which will have its effect on your blood sugar levels. Which will have its effect on the production of adrenalin and insulin. Problems that can be caused by potatoes are:

Alcohol

Alcohol is broken down by the liver. In this process your body uses minerals and vitamins which are essential for your recovery process. By using  alcohol this recovery process will be seriously delayed or even stopped completely. Besides that, alcohol increases the level of Cortisol, which in turn increases the feeling of anxiety. Cola and other energizers

Cola and other energizers contain chemicals and foodstuffs like sugar, caffeine, colorants etc. These products drain your energy resources, until you are completely exhausted. They give you the feeling of energy, but one day you will be completely burned out. It is not easy to recover from that, on your own. Recovery from a serious burnout can take months or even years, if you do not take the appropriate measures.

Fast food

Fast food contains a lot of wrong fat and the values of good vitamins and minerals is very low, if at all. The colourings and taste improvers and preservatives are only there to sell the product and to store it for a longer period of time. So it is good for the food and its supplier and not for you as a user. The fact that a lot of additives are approved by the government give an unjust feeling of safety. Cheap fats, microwaves, extreme heating etc. take all the good out of the food. It only plasters your stomach, but it looks good, tastes well en smells delicious.

Coffee

Coffee is a stress factor of very high importance. Your body acts on coffee if it were sugar. At first it raises the level of insulin and afterwards insulin is neutralised and adrenalin is produced to take sugars out of your liver, witch is your body's energy reserve. What remains after taking a cup of coffee is the adrenaline, witch is the most important stress factor. Coffee also takes a lot of water from the body and a shortage of water lessens the amount of Tryptophane in the brain. Tryptophane is a precursor of Serotonin witch gives you the feeling of well being. Also the level of salt in the body declines. Indirectly coffee gives a depressed feeling. Water and Tryptophane are essential to keep the balance in your vital body systems

The anxiety  that is the result of a shortage of Serotonin causes other problems. If your surroundings don't feel safe, it causes the nerve system to go into the fight or flight response. Fear and stress bring disease. Disease brings the fact that you retreat from social life. Stress also has a negative effect on the gastro- intestinal system.

Results from the use of coffee can be:

Dairy products

Milk is mostly seen as a source of calcium for the body. Scientific research shows that the milk coming from the dairy factory contains small amounts of phosphor to keep the milk fresh for a longer period of time. To take phosphor out of the body, your metabolism needs Calcium. If, for any reason, the uptake of calcium is prohibited, the calcium will be taken from your bone. This weakens your skeleton and causes a lot of different problems. One of the reasons why your body does not take calcium out of the milk is because you have an allergy for milk. This allergy also prohibits the uptake of vitamin B, which can cause amnesia, shortage of energy or problems with the nervous system. There is a balance between the levels of Calcium and Magnesium. If one is lower, the other also will get lower. Magnesium is known for its good effect on your nerve system.

Situations that cause lowering of the calcium level and thus inhibits uptake of magnesium:

Sugar

Sugar causes a high amount of adrenalin in your body (see anxiety)
